Doug Phillips has performed in the Eastern Great Lakes Region as a bassist, guitarist and vocalist for over 30 years. His band performance credits include Platos Cave, Dirty Looks, Darksider, Hello Kitty Death Squad, Midnight Riders, East Ave, Pick Up Band, Eric Brewer & Friends, The Groove, This American Song, Daybreak Radio, Nostromos, Smoke Break, Small Change, Key West Express, Chance of Reign, Trev Zeppelin, and Spooner. Doug has also appeared with Reb Beach (Winger, Whitesnake, Dokken), Joe Travers (Zappa Plays Zappa, Duran Duran, Billy Idol), NYC's Schleigho and Houston's Hadden Sayers Band. He was involved in RockErie's yearly award show as a founding member of the RockErie House Band, featured at RockErie Awards for 7 years.  He is a 3-time RockErie Award finalist for Erie's Favorite Acoustic Performer and winner of the 2014 RockErie Music Award for Bassist. Doug has organized and performed in tribute concerts to Tom Petty, Queen, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, The Band, Black Sabbath, Frank Zappa, Prince, Tom Waits, Neil Young, Woodstock, Sound City Studios, and Jimmy Buffett.

Doug hosted Open Mic Nights at the BrewErie and the Docksider for over 12 years combined and an Acoustic Showcase at The Colony Pub & Grille for 2 summers.  He was a featured performer at the Erie Ale House every Friday for 4 years and during that time also hosted Erie Ale House Acoustics twice a month.  Doug is proud to be a founding member of Erie All Stars, a constantly changing band featuring many local musicians.  

 

Doug currently performs as Doug Phillips Acoustic, weaving his soulful vocals through over four hundred songs by a diverse array of artists covering over sixty years of popular culture. He is also available as Doug Phillips Duo,Trio, Quartet, and Band which takes his solo catalog & upgrades it with harmonies, solos, and percussion.
